In May 2025, celebrated Gujarati folk singer Osman Mir—dubbed the “Pride of Gujarat”—teamed up with the Third Culture Collective for a powerful performance titled Symphony of Gujarat at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Held on the evening of 17 May, the event blended traditional Gujarati genres—bhajans, garba, and lok sangeet—with Western orchestral arrangements, under the baton of conductor Kavi Pau.
Osmanbhai, alongside his son Aamir , brought soulful vocals and family warmth to the stage, delivering a repertoire that spanned devotional hymns and vibrant folk melodies. The full ensemble featured a fusion of folk instrumentalists and a Western classical orchestra, creating dramatic crescendos and richly textured harmonies. As part of the Southbank Centre’s “South Asian Sounds” festival (15–18 May 2025), the concert both honored Gujarat’s musical heritage and reimagined it for contemporary and diverse audiences.
The performance was celebrated as an inspiring cultural bridge—connecting generations, preserving tradition, and delivering a uniquely memorable cross-cultural musical experience.
